Default over the rail spray on bed liner?

my plastic bed rails are curving up at one of the corners by the cab. and since i moved out here to Indy where it snows, i was thinking of getting some line-x under my bed rug.

if i took those plastic tops off the bed could i make the line x go there to provide protection for the top of the bed as well?

sure you can.

went over the rails on my last truck with linex and it worked well. I didn't go over the rails with this truck since it had the plastic, which I regret. The plastic is junk, I can easily scratch it with my fingernail. within the year I'll be ripping the POS plastic off and getting it linexed

just so you guys know the top of the bed rail has holes in it that the plastic clips to. It won't look good with the plastic rails removed.

They are junk. I asked the dealer to replace them when the ends curled and they said they would. Well they didn't, they shoved double sided table under the corners. My are curving in the middle now.

This is my biggest complaint. The plastic is the biggest and I mean biggest POS I've ever seen in my life. The clips on my molding on the tailgate broke off. My truck is in the shop to get it fixed today. It will be interesting to see if they just put tape under there or replace it.
