I have the Rough Country lift and level and have never liked it. I find the front sits higher than the back, I also have a squeak in the front now because the metal is rubbing on the metal mounts. I believe the new kits come with a rubber spacer but to change it now it will require another allignment.

I think the RC lift is a 2.5f/.75r. I put on the daystar(all ruber) 2.5f/1.5r. it's pretty level, may be a tad higher in the rear. very happy.

What I've found is that after 30K miles it seems to have leveled itself

I'd recommend 2.5 front and 1.5 rear. I did that and I feel anything less that 1.5 rear would have been nose high. I'm very happy with the results.

Well after seeing that you live in Watertown you had better make sure that they are good in the snow. I lost 4 years of my life up there back in the 90's at Ft Drum. Anyway do not get Mud tires they suck in the snow, I would look at BF Goodrich All Terrain in a 34 in tire. I am looking to do this setup. Stay with the same width as the stock tires. Big fat tires are worse in the snow so keep it narrow. The biggest thing about tires is you have to like the way they look. Go to your local tire store and look around. Most tires now a days perform similar. Get one with a mileage warrranty and one that you like and you cannot go wrong.

You say almost perfect, what ends sits lower? If it is the front then that is okay IMO.
