Default My 2010 Laramie 1500

I'm stoked on my purchase! Been visitng the site for several weeks. This is my very first real NEW purchase. Everything prior to this had 30k+ on them and was either a Ford or a Chevy. The vehical I traded in was a 07 Ford Harley F150.

I do have some questions though.

1) The 09 seat tearing issue - Does this look to be occuring on the 10's as well? If so, should I apply something like Meguires leather condition\cleaner regularly to try to prevent this?

2) One thing I wish I did was get the Side step tube bars PN 82211496AC for the wife and kids sake. Looking online, the cheapest set I could find is for 490. Does anyone have a "connection" they may be willing to get me in touch with?

Ionic Automotive make a 5" Railway Chrome Tube for 349 that looks decent enough for my likes but I always prefer OEM. On Ionics site it specifies Quad Cab only. I'll need to call and see if it fits Crew Cab as well. I'm tempted to say it will.

3) I like Ground Force lowering kits. Does anyone have a specific supplier they recommend to use for these trucks? I'd prefer to go with a mild lower like a 2-3 or a 2-4. The truck doesnt look like it has a ton of rake to it though. Recommendations on lowering?

Thanks again. Glad to have found the site. Looking forward in cruising with you all's.

I appreciate any and all replys!

try talking to your salesman to see if he would get you the nerf bars at his cost. As far as the seat goes, I don't think the cleaner will hurt to try. Some people have more trouble with them then others so you will just have to see how they wear for you. For the lowering kit you should search for lowered rams and try to get ahold of the member Doc Fluty. He has a very nice lowered truck and i'm sure he would give you some direction.

My 2010 will be a year old and 12K miles next month and the perforated leather seats still look great, maybe one wrinkle in the drivers side (I'm 6'4" 225lbs) and I'm not easy on it at all.

I'm not sure if the material changed for the 2010s or just some people are harder on seats than others.
