I was told the only air bags avaliable for 09 and 2010 1500's were coil spring bags. That the riderite's only work with leaf springs.

There was adequate tongue weight and this only happened with the crosswind.

I have the Ride-Rites and the Reese anti sway weight distribution hitch. Although I tow a lot smaller trailer, with this setup we get no sway at all.Earlier this year, we were caught in the most intense crosswind/dust storm in the north/east arizona desert and had no trouble other than we could go very fast or see very far.

RideRite makes coil bags too. That's what I have.

I don't think we experienced anything close to what it would take to have the computer step in and try to fix things. I could just feel the trailer starting to wiggle the back of the truck a little bit and could see the trailer going back and forth in the mirrors. It was nothing that caused a pucker factor over about 1. But it was irritating because we had to slow down (from maybe 65 to 55) during those stretches of crosswind.

If you were to go to a travel trailer forum board you would find that most of the people there use the Equal I Zer hitch set. I put one on my Travel trailer rated at 7500 and 23 feet long. I have hit many situations that get a trailer swaying and the Equal I Zer held the trailer straight even in 40 mph cross winds. I also get no effect from passing semi's .. JMHO
