Default ram third brake light

the wonderful engineers at chrysler never cease to amaze me.there is an issue with the third brake light gasket on our trucks not sealing and leaking.so they issue an rrt to silcone it.ok as a temp fix except for the excess silcone dripping and running on the paint.now your brake light bulb blows out and you need to try and remove the brake light w/o scratching the paint or cracking the plastic lens.now after you get the lens off it really tears up the gasket so call the dealer for a new gasket and see if they supurceded the old style gasket with a new thicker gasket to fix the problem of the orignal one.first no new style gasket, second you cant buy just the orignal gasket you have to buy the brake light for $55.00 for a couple dollar gasket.dodges stand is just keep siliconing it.yea lets not fix the problem just put a bandaid on it.just what i want to do jerry rig my new truck
