I have the new 2010 Laramie 4WD Quad cab and it is awesome! I actually look forward to driving to work...not working, though. I still say even without a bad winter go with 4WD because "anyone who's been stuck in the mud in Alabama knows, when you step on the gas, one tire spins and the other does nothin." -My Cousin Vinny

2009 laramie 1500 4X2 w/ 3.55's (also GMC convert)
this is my first truck w/o 4 wheel drive in a while. i almost never used it so i decided to go w/o. i pull a 22ft ski boat w/o any problems except for one boat ramp. it was extremely steep b/c it was a river ramp in the middle of a maintained (dredged) water way. it was a little embarrassing, but a little 'umph from the boat motor was all it took. had i been by myself it would have been a problem, but who goes skiing by yourself!
