Thanks for all the input. I have about decided to go 2wd. I sure hope I don't regret switching to a Dodge.

2009 laramie 1500 4X2 w/ 3.55's (also GMC convert)
this is my first truck w/o 4 wheel drive in a while. i almost never used it so i decided to go w/o. i pull a 22ft ski boat w/o any problems except for one boat ramp. it was extremely steep b/c it was a river ramp in the middle of a maintained (dredged) water way. it was a little embarrassing, but a little 'umph from the boat motor was all it took. had i been by myself it would have been a problem, but who goes skiing by yourself!
