While towing a heavy trailer in the mountains (6-10% grades) my oil temp inched up into the 21x range a few times (1st gear, 3500 rpm, 35 mph). Coolant stayed in the 20x range.

I fond it strange that the oil is always a few degrees hotter than the coolant (once warmed up). Coolant = 197, oil = 204. Is that normal?

My guess the coolant has a better chance staying cooler with the radiator and thermostat working for it.
