Default Exhaust

Has anyone replaced their single muffler with a performance muffler ie: flowmaster? I do not want to change out the complete exhaust system if I do not have to. I have a 2010 TRX4.

I replaced mine with a Magnaflow. I have the dual rear exhaust, so the muffler was a single in/dual out. Sounds awesome.

i had a single exhaust and did the flowmaster dual exhaust conversion. sounds good, runs like ****. i already didnt like the high revving hemi engine ( i cant take an incline without the truck jumping into the 2-3 rpm range) now its even worse. i guess thats normal, im not driving an accord anymore.

I went out today and replaced the stock exhaust. I went with a Magnaflow single in dual out... I have the pipes exiting out behind the rear wheels. The truck sounds great. I paid $385 at a local muffler shop.

Overall it doesn't sound bad... Immediately I drove to the nearest highway. When I was cruising at about 70, the exhaust was somewhat quiet. When I stepped on it immediately you could hear the explosive exhaust. Personally for myself, I am glad at highway speeds that it quiets down. I travel alot between Florida and Georgia. I understand the statement sounding like a rice burner... When driving at about 35 you can hear the exhaust pitch change... Just my thoughts.

I also have the magnaflow installed and get a lot of compliments on it. How its not loud and raspy but has just a nice grumble and roar to it. Doesn't bother me at all in the cab. And as for the the 4 cylinder mode i dont notice but i am hardly in 4 cylinder mode, driving on the highway all the time.

I also had the single exhaust changed over to dual exit and have the same low end power loss. When I get extra cash I will stick with Magnaflow and convert back to 3'' in/out.
