Default HID Problem. Help! HIDEXTRA

So I installed my HID kit from HID Extra a month ago. Everything worked correctly. Then I was driving in an empty parking lot last night and noticed that the right Headlight flickered. I got off and it flickered between 8000k blue and a white light. Now when ever I turn on the lights One is blue and one is white. Can I contact HIDEXTRA about this? Anything I can do to fix?

You can contact them but, would not hold my breath on them helping to be honest, with the people who had radio reception issues they said it was not enough of a percent for them to worry about that it was an acceptable percentage that were having issues, they used a percentage of 2%.

I would give them a chance to make it right but based on past customer service responses I would not hold my breath. Who knows maybe they changed their thinking on customer service.

Mine would flicker and not stay on 1 out of 5 times. Never got anywhere with them, they sent capacitors, still had the issue. I ended up taking them out... Waste of time and money IMO.

Well they gave me the warranty information and instructions. Here is the exact email:

"Sorry for the inconvenience, you might have received a defective ballast or bulb, please kindly swap the ballast from the none working side to the working side and see if the problem follows the ballast or the bulb. (if the whole kit has issue, please DO NOT DESTROY ANYTING and send the whole kit back to us for testing) then follow the PDF file instructions to destroy defective part and email me your order # and full name to info@hidextra.com along with the photo attachment so I can get a new replacement part sent out to you after RMA dept verify the warranty coverage. (if you claim more than one item from several orders you made, we need another photo for group them together) .

Thanks~ "

I think that you guys running these are a danger to other drivers and yourself for that matter....people tend the steer into the light. And light you have, too fnnng bright, to me it is ignorant and absolutely not necessary. If you live out on some dark road in the country aim your headlight correctly use your high beams put another set of driving lights but then that is as bad as hids/ Maybe use Silverstars or something they are brighter but not obnoxious like this post. I hit a car from behind once because a truck with bright lights blinded me.

I'm sorry but i disagree with you! You hit a car from behind and you are saying that the bright lights of a truck blinded you ? I think that you need to keep your distance for other cars while you drive. Any headlight can blind you, specially if they are not perfectly aimed. JUST MY 2 CENTS.....

Two things:

1) Ditch the capacitors and get their relay harness! Mine flickered with the capacitors (until one of the capacitors blew up behind my headlight). I swapped in the relay harness and have had no issues yet.

2) Some vehicles just do not have housings capable of doing anything but scatter light everywhere with HIDs installed. Others seem to do OK (not great, but OK). Most new Dodge headlights seem to do OK, and I've had no complaints yet. I think the key is to properly re-align your headlights once you are done. Most people that throw these into their vehicle don't think that far into it, just assume that it is good to go, and end up driving around with one headlight aimed into the bushes and one into the eyes of oncoming traffic. If you take the extra time to make sure everything is right, you an reduce the impact on other drivers IMO.
