2 questions - 2010 dodge ram 1500 mds hemi 5.7
I got a new 2010 ram 1500 4x4 quad w/ 5.7 mds hemi - (1) lately I noticed a burnt oil type smell coming from the truck when under very heavy accelaration, (flooring it basically) - engine only has 2100 miles on it and has had just one oil change at dealer so far. Do these motors burn oil under high demand accelaration, or should I have dealer check it over for leaks, etc? Don't know if this burnt oil smell is considered normal or not
(2) unfortunately a guy backed into rear quarterpanel last week & have to take it to body shop to have a large dent repaired in the panel - Some have told me to insist on an entirely new quartpanel (I know thats wrong term) be welded in place of the dented one, and then painted to match for the best looking job - other body shop people tell me it will make a better job to drill, pull the dent out (dent is about 2" deep, approx 12"x12" large) and then use filler, sand, paint - Which is the best method to make a seemless repair you would never notice over time? Completely new panel, or pull dent, fill & paint?

No idea on your body repair question, but for the oil... If you're smelling burnt oil (actually burnt oil, not that 'hot plastic, new vehicle' smell) then it's likely the last folks that changed the oil spilled some down the side of the engine. When it heats up good as you're rodding on it the remaining oil film starts to burn off. Nothing to worry about. Just do your own oil changes in the future so it gets done right.
If the engine was burning oil internally you wouldn't really smell it in the cab, you'd only notice it while following the vehicle in another car.
