big "mi to empty" reading...

ive never had it read more than 320! its usually about 300-310.
i spent all day driving yesterday, mostly highway, so my average is out of whack.
its reading 17.1 average right now. im usually about 10-11 average.
i filled 'er up this morning and was shocked to see this.
whats everyone else usually get?
Low 400's would be around what I normally see. Highest reading I ever got was just over 500. (25 gal tank). I can get a 21MPG going accross ND if the wind isn't blowing.
10-11 is your average? Wow, I got 12-13 towing 3500 lbs from MN to Montana

lately ive been getting into the 13s, probably because ive been going a little farther on the weekends.
also, ive stopped remote starting my truck everytime im getting ready to leave!

mine is usually in the low 400's. When I traveled up 35 from Texas to Iowa, 927mi, I felt if I pushed it I could have gotten there in 2 tanks, but I got gas at convenience. Showed over 500 mi though when I filled up both times getting over 21mpg. I average 16-18 mpg.

I have a real dumb question!!! Just bought a 2010 ram..Where do you go and how do you get there to see this "MI to Empty" I have played around with it and have not been able to come up with that window..
mine is around 425 after each fill up, average around 17.0-17.6 mpg doing 60% highway - this truck is my daily driver. I even have MDS disabled since I am on a lot of back roads on the weekends and it would constantly go in and out of mds mode.

How you disable MDS?
If you have the floor shifter, just flick to the left once on the shift so it shows "5" in the EVIC. Shuts off MDS, but will still shift up to 5.
Best I ever saw was 536 on a run, 32 gal tank. Never seems to get to 536 elapsed miles though before the DTE is 0. Even at that point, there's usually 3 gals or more in there, so another 50-60 miles.
