Default 09 Crew Cab 4x4 1/4 mile run

Took my Ram to the Friday night street races at Numidia Dragway. I have an 09 Ram, Sport, Crew Cab, 4x4, Hemi, 3.92LSD, 18" Magnaflow and SuperChips.
I had the 93 tune and TM set to 8%. Rear tires set to 20lbs, Tow/Haul on and esp was left on. I had a little less than a half a tank of fuel, no weight reductions and launched in two wheel drive. The weather was a humid 85 degrees. It was my first time to the track in 15 years so no laughing at the slow reaction time. lol.
I may be going next Friday also and will try to have less fuel, no spare tire, ESP off and launch in 4x4. If the weather is cooler, hopefully I can get closer to if not in the 14's.

Good run, pretty dang quick for a crew cab.

By the way. My run was the right lane not the left. Sorry for any confusion.

Seems like taking the spare tire and all the fuel out isn't going to do anything but result in less traction to the rear tires.

I plan on going back to the strip this Friday. I plan on launching in 4x4 with the ESP off and will run up the RPM's at the line. Some people have reported bogging down at the line while running up the RPM's before launch, but I am hoping with the Superchips TM set to 8% that this will eliminate the bogging.
Eliminating the spare tire and fuel shouldn't have an impact on traction if I launch in 4x4.

Launching in 4x4 is going to cause a ton of parasitic loss. You don't get to run that transfercase and 2nd axle for free.

I'll try to do that. I would also like to see the difference. I had planned on doing it on Friday but wasn't sure if I would have the time to change the tune. I had plenty of time. This Friday I am heading back to race again I will do a before and after. I will do a stock run on 93 octane fuel and then a 93 tune and TM at 8%.

You may be right. I am launching in 4x4 then switching to 2 wheel drive as soon as I am out of the gate. I am hoping the loss is less than that of the ESP. Unfortunately I am not going to a Test and Tune, it is a Friday night street race which means you get 2 or 3 runs to dial in and then bracket race. So I am limited in the different combos I can try.
