450hp ram package
While browsing the internet and trying to convince myself of turning a fantasy into a reality for a $10K engine upgrade for my C5 corvette. I notice Hennessey Performance has put together a package for the dodge ram 1500.

Air, air, air + computer. Yeah the numbers on HP gain makes sense, but if the price makes sense... well... we'll see wont we? :]
*edit* I emailed their sales inquiry asking about who made their components if they are from elsewhere, what the price on the package is, and if the package can be pro-rated without their cold-air intake (since so many of us already have aftermarket air). Will post results when they reply.

yeah, im sure those are engine numbers not whp.. so its totall believeable
for example. the superchips tuner. is supposed to put 18hp and 26tq at the wheels..
(arguably is 40-50% more at the engine, due to driveline loss in these big trucks)
so if you go with 50% .
stock hp 390. up to 426 at the engine.
stock tq. 407. up to 459 at the engine...
so thats just with a tuner. basically all hennessy is doing is a full exhaust, and c.a.i. to get you the extra hp i believe..... but know them, its probably $8k... lol

I think installed/tuned by Hennessy, and a limited edition badging, would increase the resale some. Mods alone generally don't.
I'm sure the parts or equivilents can be had for much less, so removing the badging would be wasting $$ (since that's the reason for the premium expense).
