My 09 Ram Sport 4x4 in my opinion is pretty loaded...bought it @ 7,000 miles..
I'm not sure what packages it may have but the strangest thing is that my tailgate has the camera but i dont have my gig or nav.. ??? any ideas or possibilty i could add my own nav. and use the back-up cam.??

Yes, you can add a MyGig and get your backup camera working. I have a MyGig Nav unit for sale for cheaper than the going ebay rate. It still has about 7 months of the free sirius satellite radio subscription left on it too. Let me know if you are interested. That is strange that the vehicle came that way. Perhaps the dealer/previous owner swapped radios on it? Anyway, I am not use if once you install the MyGig if you may need to have the backup camera activated by the dealer, but since the camera is already there, chances are that you won't.

What are you replacing it with, I am always curious to see what people are putting since I find the factory look awesome. Did you know that 3 or 4 maybe more Ferrari's were using the Harmon Becker version of the mygig and mygig nav?

You can skip the trip to the dealer when you use a RER or Navigation unit. The Uconnect works, if Sat subscription is available it works, if you have a GPS antenna hooked up it works, although sometimes in order to get it to realize where you are if you are not on a digitized road like in your driveway you most likely won't get it to hold settings. Some go for a drive all of a sudden will see your map pop up then you are all set. You can set things up.
If you want to spend another 200 bucks you can buy a LOCKPICK in fact finally installed mine last night, allows for VES Vehicle Enterainment system to become active, you can watch movies or sorry the passengers can watch movies while driving...there are laws, I hooked a front and back camera up need to find out why the leds are not coming on. But other than that you can hook the camera to the LOCKPICK and then you can even turn the front or rear cam on anytime you want driving or parked. It allows for an ACC 12V hookup and a hot 12V hookup since it's hard to know what you can hook up to in these trucks. I think cig lighters are a safe bet still and there are a lot. Anyway
Good luck...Trip to the dealer will also get the radio added to the options list for recalls etc.

Someone goofed at the factory or shortage of handles and dealer was supposed to change it, too bad it is key coded to your truck or I would buy it from you.

You ever figure out why its there. I would go to them and say my rear view camera is not working. Even if it doesnt say it belongs they will have to make it work...why not it's there. You have 4 doors , all open? 2 wipers, both work, one lock on the tailgate it works, but the one camera doesn't or it is just not programmed in? Oh ya I forgot you didnt have a screen well make them give you one or buy you a Nav unit and get the back up cam working thru there. That would be cool.
