Default TPMS Sensors

OK here is m question, does anyone know if you can have 2 set of tires each having their own sensors in them?? in other words does the computer have to be taught each time you put a diffrent sensor??

That being asked, does anyone know where I can buy cheep 17" after market rims from??

As long as the sensors are identical OEM sensors you should be able to do that. As far as I understand things, the receivers just 'talk' to whatever sensor is close to them, they don't have to be paired like a bluetooth connection or anything.

As long as they are on the same frequency, you can buy some on ebay they are a good brand Orange for 119 for all 4, dealer wants 80 for one.No programming needed.

don't know if they are on the market yet or not. but i was at my friends goodyear shop the other day, and one of the sales guys was there (who they get all there tire equipment from) and he was telling him about universal sensors coming out that they can sell the customer and program on the spot to go in there wheel. check your local tire shops.

How long are they supposed to last before you have to replace them or change a battery i guess?

I don't think they have a battery but they supposedly break off easily and if you put a metal chrome cap on they rust on,so use an aluminum one. I never heard about batteries. But there are rebuild kits also, not sure what is included.

Just did a web search on Dodge Ram TPMS re-set procedures cuz I have the Warning Light ON.

Best advice I could find is that the system will relearn after tires are properly inflated and after driving about 20 miles.

However, some owners claim that the system must be re-set by the dealer.

Also, the monitor system transmits via the Key (FOB) so it may be a problem with the Key or the key battery.

I'll update this post after driving 20 miles and using my back-up key fob.

What freq? 315MHz or 433MHz? It shows both for our year. How do you know which one to use?
