Default Mold under my factory tonneau????

I have the factory tonneau cover (soft) that clips in the sides and rolls back. I lifted it the other day and the underside is all moldy. The top looks new. I havent rolled it back in forever. I keep my truck spotless. Any suggestions?? I have a 2009 Ram Crew Hemi 5.7.
I am wondering if I should go back to dealer for warranty or if it is just dumb luck. Im afraid to try to clean it with any chemicals.
Anyone else seen this?
Thanks crew.

If you are still under the bumper to bumper warranty then I would definitely take it back. I wouldn't try and clean it yourself because mold spores being stirred around is dangerous to your health. But if for some reason it's not under warranty then killing the mold can be done with a hydrogen peroxide based solution, then brushed off. Just not sure what it would do to the the cover.

It must be staying damp under there for some reason Do you have a bedliner or anything. Rain a lot where you live?

Wonder if the material is defective and letting dew in at night and stays in there??? That is so weird.
