Motorcycle Consumer News had a Physicist do analysis of the oil, (and many others)and it really did get thicker. And, AMSOIL never disputed the test - for good reason

Nobody is more fair than MCN - they accept no advertising.

AMSOIL is a good product, just as long as you are aware of what it does and oes not do.

I use some of their products, just not their motor oil.

And, don't get me started on their lack of API ratings.......

Lack of API is because of cost.Their oil exceeds API as does some of Redlnes,Royal Purple etc.The API thing has been beat to death for years.

That's sheer BS on AMSOIL's part - at the price they charge, it should have been done LONG ago - if they can pass, that is!

Well its sheer BS on many specialty oils then. Not just Amsoil. They do SURPASS API specs. They don't sell the amount to make it worth the big bucks it cost to get API.They don't sell enough of it to warrant the cost of API.Neither does Redline,Royal Purple and many other boutique specialty oils. The XL series is Api certified. Its purpose is to compete with Mobil 1,Penzoil,Castrol etc.
