2010 Laramie seat snap
I was going over a speed bump when I felt and heard something under the drivers seat snap. I looked as best I could but don't see anything out of place under the seat.
I didn't hit the speed bump fast but did bounce slightly as I went over it. Any suggestions on what to look for? It does seem that there is a little less cushion in the seat now but not sure if it is just my imagination.

It sounded like plastic cracking or snaping and felt like I sank down into the seat. It was a loud noise and I heard it above the sound of the radio.
You probably tore one of the plastic "clips" on the seat cover. They hook to the metal frame of the seat. They are sewn to the seat cover and there's no way to replace it, other than sewing a new one on. One of mine broke and I've been trying to figure out how to fix it.
I made another inspection under the seat and found out what made the snaping/cracking sound. The spring on the inner side of the seat apparently broke at a weld where it attaches to the seat frame.
I'll be taking it to the dealer this week.

The spring was never connected properly. There is no weld but the end of the spring fits into a slot. It can't come out if fully inserted which apparently was not done. Mechanic inserted spring in slot and all is well.
While there I had them look at tail light that had condensation and they are going to replace it.
jrtx>>> I think you were right on the clip being what I heard. I believe the clip on the right side struck the center console when the spring let loose.
