Default Squeaking brakes 09' Laramie

My truck has 40,000 mostly highway miles on it. I am running the original tires and they have plenty of tread on them. I wanted to say that to prove that this truck has had some very easy miles. Now my front brakes are squeaking under light pressure. Doesn't matter if I am going frontward or backward. Any body else experiencing this?

Put ceramc pads on it. Look at it this way....

Ceramic pads, $65 for fronts

Less dust, well dust thatis not noticable
No metal in the pad. Some of those reported rust spots on top of your paint is from your pad dust.
Lifetime warranty... So if you plan on keeping the truck for a while you will need to buy them eventually, with the warranty your second set will be free.

It really is a win win and there is little reason not to, the little being if you tow heavy items frequently.

66,000 on one of my trucks. Most I've ever gotten from OEM pads.

I pretty sure it depends on the usage, my truck spends most of it's running time at 75 mph on the highway. Very little brake use. As opposed to someone running around town using the brakes at every intersection.

Seems like a good idea to take off a wheel and have a look at the pads. 40K is a good long time for brake pads. Can't go by tire wear, mine has 35K on it and the tires look new.

Well since I have the extended warranty that includes such things I will be taking it in to the Stealer soon.
