Car wash Mirrors, & Antenna
depends on the car wash, i had a aunt that drove through one years ago and some one must have had wood chips in the bed of their truck and it shredded the paint on her car. While you go to the new petrol Canada car was and your car is so damn clean its unreal..... i think newer car washes must have something designed to clean the brushes so they arnt full of sand and dirt car to car.......
As far as car care you and I think alike! I think they should tear down those car washes also those no touch just embed the dirt into your paint.
I run mine through once a week. I do remove the antenna but never fold the mirrors and have never had a problem. I do truly care about my truck and that's why I keep it clean. I hear that all the time, don't run your Truck through a was where anything touches it, well truth is Ive never been to a touch less wash that actually got my truck clean. Ive taken my chances and never had an issue. Hand washing my truck is just a pain in the #%^.
I disagree. I'm positive that if I was to get down and look at your paint, I would see little specks of dirt and other debris that will over time take away from the shine. Probably wouldn't be much, but I guarantee that if you go to washes like that, you have this problem. Don't believe me? Go to your parts store and buy a clay bar kit and use it on your ram. You'll be surprised.
I went through a car wash just after I got my truck and after I dried it I saw a bunch of little scratches on the paint. I have never gone through one since. I prefer the pressure wash way and after I dry it I detail spray my truck. Mind you my truck is black and it shows every little mark and scratch. I find if you wax it once in a while and use the detail spray it keeps the paint looking amazing. I know alot of you are probably thinking that is too much time but I really care about my vehicles and like to keep them looking like new especially when you pay as much as you do for these trucks.

That's true but when I dry it I use this cloth that dries with one side then buffs on the other side. The detail spray gets any remaining dirt off and leaves a great shine. The detail spray I use even beads the water off my truck just like wax. It's easy to use...just wipe it on let sit for a few seconds then buff with another cloth. I use Meguirs wax and detail spray. Amazing stuff.
I use the claybar in the spring to get all the crap off the paint from the winter then just wax and detail spray in the summer.
