Default Lsd!

I have searched and searched this forum for the answer and can't find it. Can you add an LSD to a truck equipped with 3.55 gears? If it can be done, who sells the LSD and what is the website? I have noticed that the truck does spin both tires quite well on wet pavement with the 3.55 gears and traction control off. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Most popular choices in aftermarket LSDs are Auburn Gear and the Eaton/Detroit TruTrac.

Available at almost any auto parts & truck accessory store or site...

Our truck with the 3.21 spins the tires like nothing when it's damp outside, so it's nothing special to spin in less than dry conditions.

Honestly, with what it's gonna cost you to get a LSD in your 3.55 I'd just look into a 3.92, unless you happen to do a LOT of freeway driving on flat roads with an empty truck (not likely...), cause it'll probably be similar in price.

The LSD's that I found were around $600 but I'm not sure if that is all that is needed in parts to put an LSD on the 3.55's. If I were to do the gear swap, since I have a 4x4, I would be looking at $2K+ in parts and labor.
