Default Bilstein shocks?

2010 Ram 1500 Quad TRX. Was wondering if anyone has tried the Bilstein 5100 front shocks, they are the ones that are 5 way height adjustable, 0-2.5". A post on here a while back claims they are far better for leveling than spacers, way less wear and tear on the front suspension. I drive 40-50% on gravel and rougher roads, (yeah yeah I know trucks nowadays are made for highway use only). I would like to get a couple more inches of front clearance before the snow flies. Any feedback appreciated.

Some people are having issues with a shimmy while in 4WD, others are not. Seems to be a CV angle issue. The first setting on those shocks are stock, the next is TRX4. So you wont gain 2.5 but about 1.75 if i recall correctly

So what would you recommend, the shocks, or coil spacers, and would you not get a shimmy with the spacers, and I do drive off road a lot.

Default Shocks will not give you real lift

The shock will help with the decompressing of the suspension but the travel will still be there. When compressing, the shocks will give back the lift - you may get rubbing.

Shocks are not built to support the weight of the truck, they are not really lifts

Its definitely a better way to lift if you're looking to level the truck. They are adjustable from stock to +2.8" in the fronts and the rear(if you get the matching 5100s) have enough travel to raise 1.1" for a coil spacer if you'd like.

Ride and handling is not much different from stock but I did put a 305/55/20 tire on when I did the shocks/level. I have a thread here with pics on installation and all.
