Default Programmer?

Just bought a 2011 Ram 5.7 Hemi.
I'd like to know some feedback on what programmers everyone has been using, Pro's and Con's. I'm looking to re program for performance, and maybe gain some MPG, as well.
Thanks.

I have previously run Superchips on a GMC, it was ok but made my shifts odd. It was replaced with a ECM from Westers garage, which was awesome! I also used a Westers tuned ECM in my 09 Hummer h2, again it was awesome. For the Ram I went with the Bullydog GT, I liked the fact that you could
load the stock tune back on and the gauge features are nice. I have only used the regular octane tune with stock shift points etc., the overall drivability seems improved with the tune. I had to load the stock tune back on for a trip to the dealer and man did it feel slow that day!! I have also noticed the EVIC is consistently showing a 1.5 mpg increase. Although, the bully dog mpg gauge shows 1.5 less mpg than the EVIC.

How does the programmer know what the "stock" program is. Does it keep this in memory?

I am more than happy with my SuperChips Flashpaq. The ability to control or remove TM made a big difference in my trucks performance. The 93 tune is something you can't help but notice ether

I've always been a fan of the Diablosport Predator. I have had it on two GTO's and now my 2010 Hemi. When you plug it into your truck it knows what tune you have. If you have the stock tune it will force you to back it up before it installs any of the performance tunes. You can then reinstall the stock tune anytime you want. I believe that you can go to the Diablosport website and email them your stock tune and they will turn the TM off for you at no charge (you need to buy the Predator with the connection kit so you can plug it in your computer and get updates, etc.). They did quite a bit of custom tuning for me on my '06 GTO and never charged me for any of it.

Why is it I am reading alot about issues/problems with the shifting once the program has been installed? Seems more then one "Brand Name" of programmers are having this same problem.
What I am finding out, some programers are maybe better for one specific model or make of vehical, without any problems.
I will be using it for my 2011 Dodge Ram Hemi.

I agree with what the others have said about Diablosport Predator. Very nice unit that easy to use and makes noticeable gains.

I have the Diablo predator for my 09 and it is okay. If you run it in the 87 tune you get a lot of pinging. Had MDS issues for a long time but I think they have figured that out. My only problem with Diablo is they released this thing U7137 way too soon. I think they are on about their 9th update so far so make sure you update it as soon as you get it.

Love it on 06 SRT 8 Charger though.
