I bet the spacers are not hub centric spacers. They should fit snugly around the hub with no play. The ideal spacer would have provisions to the allow the wheel to be centered on it just like the hub.

Sounds like they threw on cheap universal spacers that rely on the lugs to keep them centered. It doesn't matter how perfect the balance on the tires if the spacer is off.

Well after going back and talking to them again, they checked and rebalanced the wheels and then I test drove it with the mechanic in the truck. At 50 mph, I let go of the steering wheel and it shimmied so bad he was like "why in the hell is it doing that?" So we told the manger and now I get to choose a new wheel. I didnt mention the part about specific wheel spacers to them.

The current wheel is a Dale Jr model DJ708 in chrome and it is a +20mm on the offset according to the tech.

So how much offset should I make sure the new wheel has? They are telling me the 0 will work the best without kicking the tire outside the fender but I figure someone else here might have more knowledge about the offset or no offset than me.

The first offered me the XDRockstar in chrome but, I told them I didnt care for that wheel. So they emailed me two other options to go for.

Opinions please.

So anyhow, now I just wait for a reply with more options and of course I have to make sure the price point is the same as the DJ708 wheel.

Thanks
