Default My "duh" moment for the week.

Just finished mounting up my new winter tires and decided to take a test drive to the local gas station and back. It was dark by then and I wanted to see what they looked like in the lights of the parking lot.
I bought Nitto terra grapplers in 285/70/17 and packed away the 20's for the winter. I got some older Ram 17's and a set of TPMS off a couple different guys on the local Craigslist for a great price. I was wanting to see if the TPMS would work because they where out of a 2008 Ram 2500 and I have a 09 1500. Part numbers where different and the "net" was no help. They do work, so far. So I kept checking the dash to see if the TPMS or a message would flash as I was driving.

On the way back I noticed "Octane" was showing up on the top of the messaging center. I thought........ what does this mean? Something wrong with the gas I bought? I did fill up at a different place last time and it was a local convienience store not the BP I usually go to. I'll have to check the book when I get home to see what this is about.

So as I'm pulling into the driveway............. it hits me........ "Octane" was the name of the radio station I had on the Sirius radio.......... DUH.
I went in the house and went to bed.......... done for the day.

Default Octane

Don't feel bad. Someone else on either this forum or the other Dodge forum had the same thing happen to him when he was listening to Octane. I read about it a few months back. I can totally see me doing that if I had the EVIC.

Lol, that made me laugh a good bit because I did that too like the day after I bought my truck. Never thought about bad gas or something but it did take a second for me to figure it out.

HA! That was funny....I'm sure we have all had some kind of moment like that. Like when I tried to start the ram with my Rav4 key. I kept trying to turn it over but the key kept spinning....another..Duh moment.

Well, I was going to check and if the manual didn't offer any insight (which it probably wouldn't in this case) I was going to post it here. I figured one of the experts would have some info on it. After I figured it out I decided it was too good of a story to let it slide.
It's funny how we get so caught up in gadgets nowdays that common sense goes out the window sometimes.
Glad you guys got a chuckle out of it.

Lol I remember that. That guy took his truck to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out either, they were going to replace the evic.
