vibration dampners?
I was looking at a new dodge ram 1500 parked in costco as a display last night and noticed two cast iron? donuts rubber mounted attached to the frame right under the drivers door. I couldn't figure out what they would be for except for vibration dampners. Does anybody know what these are?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I find that when shopping I always park out from the ground, not a fan of door dings. Does not absolutely prevent them but better than using my Handicap sticker, people confuse those spots or cart corrals. I see the 400 pound heart attack victim park there and spend 10 minutes moving all the carts away from his car proudly displaying his sticker and if I park there all those carts are not moved by me in my chair. Sorry short rant.
What I was getting to is when it is clean and shiney I see people checking it out either from their car which I prefer and some actually get out and look inside, that one bothers me, especially if they need to cup their hands around their fat heads and make a smudge on the window. Go to the dealer and do that. My wife cleans it she lets them have it when they do that or someone with a big *** belt buckle or steel zippers buttons, am I nuts?

72combo, I don't know what you are talking about, unless you think I was just checking out someones truck in the parking lot. In my post I said it was on display in the costco store. This is a dealer inventory truck that they park inside the store to show any potential customers that costco can get them a special price on new autos. I don't really check out any vehicles that people own unless of course it is more than 50 years old, then it deserves some looking. Thats why people drive that old of a car, so that it will get looked at. But I never touch, only look. So do you know what the donuts are for?
