Default What does your odometer read on your 4th gen?

For those of you who have accumulated high mileage:
What does your odometer currently read?
Any issues with your truck?
Any key take-aways with preventive maintenance?
Would you buy another one?

Bought in Feb 2010 new and I have 20k on it now. No issues that where not self induced, The truck doesn't seem to sit long enough to have any other issues. I run Synthetic so maintainance hasn't been to bad. I haven't hit the Spark plug replacement yet. I would buy again because Dodge is all I drive, plus I really like the truck. Maintance is very expensive if you do all your service at the dealer. My wives Jeep has pretty much the same driveline and it kills me everytime I have to take it in. I have been trying to spread it out to make it a litle easier to stand.

45,000 bought May 09' No issues except minor ones that drive you nuts like the key fob. Not happy with the way the trans shifts since 30k service. Dealer says "can't duplicate" I would consider another.

Almost at 60,000 miles now. Bought Jan. of 2009.
Problems:
1) Windshield Washer Pump housing cracked. Replaced under warranty free.

2) Resistor burned up that controlled the voltage to the HVAC blower fan in the
medium/high position. Replaced last week at dealer, cost $100 (the exact amount of the lifetime warranty deductible) figures.

I have let the dealer do the front/rear diff. fluid change and the transmission fluid change just to be safe. I've never had a drivetrain issue so I'm okay with a few dollars spent on the preventative maintenance. All in all I really like the truck and with the warranty, I would buy it again. No lifetime warranty and maybe I'd look at a few other options.

I`m betting they didnt raise the frontend of your truck up to get all the air out of the tranny after they did the service to it. If these transmissions get the slightest air bubbles within the tranny after being drained and re-filled, they shift like crap after that. The dumbass that worked on your truck wasn`t probably properly trained on automatic transmissions obviously. Anyhow, find a steep hill of some sort, or something to park your truck onto overnight so that the frontend is at the highest possible point, and then put the truck back down on level ground and re-check your tranny oil level awhile later...i bet you might find the level went down. At that point, top it off between the add & full marks on the dip stick.

Best bet is to check the level before doing any of the above so that you can also rule out an over-filled tranny

...when all else fails, take it back to the stealer and tell them to make it right...!!!!!!!!!!!
One has to ask thyself, did they put the correct type oil and filter in it...?

Good Luck...!!!!!!

37k on it. 4th 1/2 ton since 2004 and best so far, first Dodge.

At bit expensive - almost $600 for dealer at 35k complete service ( plugs, diff and transaxle fluids, trans fluid all changed with synthetic fluids ). New tires at 28k.

Dealer has been great, does all recall / RRT's during all the dealer visits to use up the 6 free oil change and tire rotation coupons. Service mgr great, they check for latest PCM flash updates with each visit. 36k warranty up so I am on my own with these now except for the lifetime powertrain one.

Would I buy again, yes, only because I can disable MDS with a tuner. This is the only complaint I have with Dodge. It needs to allow the user to enable/disable it though the EVIC and allow you to set the enable speed ( like highway driving ). Truck is 100% more responsive for back roads driving with it disabled. I do not tow anything worth mentioning here so I cannot comment on that.

Truck runs it's a$$ off with current setup, a great daily driver and weekend hauler for home improvements and bloody white tail carcasses from hunting camp !

09 cc 4x4 slt, bought in july 09. o-meter reads 26,536. sat from sep 09 to feb 10 cause i was in iraq. about to sit again from 2 weeks ago to dec 11. headin out to korea. 6 in pro-comp lift, 35x12.50x18 nitto trail grapplers, 18 in. kmc xd monster wheels, bully dog gt 93 oct., K&N cold air intake, flowmaster with 4 in dump behind cab, go industries brush guard, tool box, smoked lights all around, painted RAM and 4x4 black. i love this truck, it hauls. i went up against an 06 ram daytona with superchips 93 oct and afe cai and smoked it.

the only problems ive had is the shroud for my fan came off, and got chopped up (in the fan obviously). no damage to the fan. also left front axel completely broken. ripped out my brake lines. had to drive under 20 MPH for 12 miles home with no brakes at 5 am. either way...both were covered under my warrenty, and thank goodness for the people at pro-comp for sendin out new brake lines super quick.

i would def purchase again....but maybe upgrade to power wagon or a diesel. i do love the sound of the hemi tho, but def more of a straight axel kind of guy.
