Default Bumper Rust Coverage

I was at my dealer yesterday for the K17 recall and inquired about whether or not Chrysler was doing anything for the bumper rust issues yet. I was told they had issued a recall for bumper replacement (I am assuming a TSB or something, even though the Service manager called it a recall) but my truck was not covered by it.

I have already had the truck in a couple times to get the bumpers cleaned up (with what the service manager said was a cleaner Chrysler had advised them to use to see if it would clean up the problem to customer satisfaction) but the problem persists. I don't understand how I can be having the problem, and have had service done for the problem twice now but I am not covered under the "recall".

Any ideas? I asked the service manager to look into it and find out if Chrysler will cover the replacement under the "recall" but I haven't heard anything back from him yet

3 days later, and a couple of phone calls to the service manager. Still no indication that they are going to cover my bumpers....not impressed

Call Chrysler and have them open a file.Number is your owners manual. Its covered and opening a file the service manager of that dealer has to address it plus he's got more paperwork to do.

They replaced mine 6 months after I bought my truck.. I had the same rust problem, went in 1 time to have them look at it and they told me it IS covered and they replaced em. Pretty much don't take no for an answer.

Any of you have a picture of your rust problems? I get a few spots on my front bumper , but they wash right off (rail dust).
