You would think that RAM would develop one to work with an 09 instead of sending us to aftermarket places which can make it very easy to start shopping at aftermarket and getting service done at other places, just keep the receipts, hell I would save money!

Those are the ones I bought for my 2010 SLT QC. Plugged right in. Had trouble finding extra screws that fit well, but looks great. Haven't gone down the "flash" road yet...

You may also be interested to know that the OEM brake controller is not compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems that are becoming more prevalent on boat trailers and fifth-wheel trailers these days.
Got this from some dude at etrailer.com

Within the last few months they finally came out with the "kit" to install in trucks that did not come from the factory installed. This may be old news but wanted to update this thread. Mine came in last week and is now installed, will be picking up truck this afternoon, worked it in with service.

Looking for any info as to whether this PN (56029431AF) will also work in my
2011 Outdoorsman. For some unknown reason they ordered the truck with the
3.92 axle, has tow/haul mode but no controller. Parts Dept said factory installs only
right now... maybe I should look @ the wiring harness to compare to the two plug
configuration I've heard about.

Depending on cab and if 4x4 3.92s are stock and switching to 3.55 costs 50. All 1500s have tow haul iirc. Mine does and it did not come with a receiver...
