My first tonneau cover was of vinyl material with 2 support bars. At speeds over 45 mph it used to flap like crazy. It was on as tight as possible. So, lately for my new RAM I have been looking at the Extang Trifecta Signature model as it's made of canvas instead of vinyl. Are you running a vinyl cover and does it flap in the wind??

 

I don't run one on my truck, but our last GM truck did indeed have this system on it. Ours had snap buttons around the entire length of the canvas, and while being a complete pain in the a$$ to install and uninstall, it never flapped in the wind.

For this truck, I'm holding out on the trifold system.

 

I'm running the Vanish bed cover. I like it quite a bit, it does flap a little, but not much. Has 3 bars in it to help stabilize. Easy to put on and I guess if I spent some time I could get it water tight?? But I still have a couple of little leaks up at the front. Otherwise, I like it overall. It rolls up. I looked at the fold over kind, but preferred the roll up so I could use the full bed and not have it block my view out of the back window.

I have a Truxedo and if you have the back window open you can hear it a little. Not much but it does make some noise.

Like above, with the short box, I wanted to have access to ALL of it!! Roll it up and it's like it was never there and the back window is 100% free to see out of.

 

I Strongly recommend Access Tonneau Covers. I have had both the Limited (Previous Truck) and the Lorado (Current truck) and really liked them both. Very Tight, No Noise, Easy to use, Looks great and easy to install. All you need to install is two adjustable wrenches, a screw driver and 20 minutes. You will be pleased.

 

I second that! ^^^^ I love my Access Cover, very easy to open from one side as well!

 

I also agree - 2 years on my Larado and its still water tight, and very little wind flapping.
