Not entirely certain what mileage you would get with the same motor and 3.21 gears with 2 wheel drive. I'm guessing it would probably be better. There are a lot of posts on this form talking about mileage.

At 120 KMH I'm sitting about 2200 or 2300. Probably a little high due to the 3.92 gears. Last highway trip was to Hinton, lots of hills on that road. It kicked out of overdrive a few times, but not enough to empty the tank. Went from Edmonton to Hinton and back on less than a tank [about 1/4 left]. I have the big gas tank.

I'm pretty sure you would get better mileage with different gearing. I got the 3.92 for towing and the 4x4 for hunting so I'm willing to give up some gas mileage. All my GM and Ford buddies and Family said I would get horrible mileage with the Hemi. So I'm not disappointed at all.

Yeah I'm famillier with that stretch of road I drove it every week a couple summers back when the theater burnt down. I keep getting told the same thing but I know the 4.7 was rated slightly better than the 7 cyl in the daks so I would think it carries over into the ram hemi vs 4.7 and besides dodge has never been know for fuel economy super bee any one lol?
