Any MDS longevity concerns?

Default Any MDS longevity concerns?

Is there any reason why having four cylinders shut down in MDS mode would harm long term reliability?

I am sure there won't be but I wonder if running in 4 cylinder mode long enough would allow those cylinders to cool down enough to where when jumping into 8 cylinder mode for a sudden steep hill climb their might be more wear as not everything is at the same temperature.

Just my opinion, but i dont think you have anything to worry about with longevity.
I`ve been running hemi`s ever since they came out, never an issue with reliability

from what i've read in the past the 4 cyl. that aren't in use still move with the engine the fuel is just shut off to those cyl. friction alone should keep everything nice and warm. not to mention everything is being worn evenly.

We put over 100K miles on our 2005 Grand Cherokee that had the same 5.7L Hemi with MDS. Never had an issue related to the engine.
