Default MDS Problems - Exhaust noise and engine delay

Fellow Ram Owners,

I mostly browse the forums here but I have noticed a problem with my ram for quite some time now and was wondering if anybody could help me out or tell me if they are having the same issues.

I have a 2009 Ram 1500 Hemi with 3.92. I have added a K&N CAI and a Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust. Whenever I enter into fuel saver/MDS mode, I notice that it sounds terrible. That doesn't bother me as much as the next issue. Whenever I accelerate and the MDS attempts to disengage, it seems to have a delay. I can almost never accelerate and have a smooth change over. It is very noticable and that should not be the case, IMHO.

Are these issues just me or does this sound like a problem. Anybody else having these issues.

Thanks,

Jim

yep me too! there was a post a while back whats happening is the MDS is trying to shut off and torque management system is trying to catch up with the increase in power due to your foot hitting the gas. don't quote me on it but that is what i thought they were saying makes sense.

There was an RRT that covered harsh MDS enguagement/disenguagement for the 09's. Might want to talk to your dealer, it was a computer reflash.

As for the MDS noise - you removed the exhaust system that was designed to quiet that noise and put one on that wasn't.
