Default Speedometer Question

I'm looking at doing the Rough Country 4" lift for my 2010 1500, and was wondering what can be done to adjust the speedometer for the increased tire size (I'm planning on running 35's on the truck). My service adviser at the dealership is a good guy but he doesn't like lifted trucks so he's doing his best to talk me out of this mod. I've already researched warranty issues, etc. and they will cover all but the new parts, but he's being really vague about what can be done to bring the speedometer (and everything associated with it) up to snuff.

I'm also curious about the effect the tires will have on the automatic overdrive. I'm assuming once they're on I'll just have to turn it off every time I get in the truck, but I'm curious what you guys do.

Thanks

Buy a superchip's programmer. You can adjust your speedometer without installing the Tune. It is what I did to adjust for my larger tires. As for the overdrive, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't in my truck.

Great idea! I had an Edge Performance tuner on my '07 Ram but it didn't have tire size calibration capabilities.

How do the Superchips tuners work? I assume you're talking about the FlashPac? Do they just plug in, download the program or adjustments and then unplug?

You got it. I keep mine in my center console so I can readjust the speedo when I take it in for service. Not that they care I just don't want them to reset the computer and then my programmer is locked and I am screwed.
