Default No VIN plate anymore?

So im in the works of taking a few salvage trucks and making one good truck. I contacted my insurance company and what not to see the implications and what not of what im aloud to do and not allowed to do. This is the first time we have tried to build a truck from scratch. Anyways had a insurance guy out (they like to have all the vins from the trucks) yada yada yada........The guy looks at me and says "hey you have no vin plate" Im like huh? Looking at the other trucks also there all the same. Dodge has got rid of the medal vin plate and changed it to a sticker!!! Thats retarded don't you think? Even the insurance guy was totally shocked as its just a sticker.

Meh. Why not? Why is it retarded? It's actually a good thing considering that the idea of being able to swap vin plates to another vehicle is out the window. Only downside I can think of would be that in about ten years of baking in the sun, that sticker might not be there anymore, but honestly, is this really an issue?

The insurance guy should know that the VIN is in multiple places on the vehicle. The one by the A pillar is the one most people know about.

And when you try to remove the sticker and re-use it, it will render it useless. This is a good thing, nobody can switch VIN numbers from vehicle to vehicle anymore. (so they think) When someone removes one, it supposed to leave trace evidence that someone has tampered with it when they see the "void" markings in the stickers now after they`ve removed them.

To bad they think they are so smart by making these this way, because you can still remove them without damaging them by using the heat and ice technic...HAHAAAAAA. Someone got paid a huge salery to figure out how to outsmart the automotive cons & theives, but has failed miserably, and they probably still have their job for this dumbazz idea of VIN stickers. Well, for now, they`ll figure out how to beat this, but to the engineer that came up with the VIN sticker idea, "you can bullsh_t your way to the top, but it wont keep you there"

Engineers = Over Rated AND Over Paid
