Angry 2010 Defective Vanity Mirror Lids?

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this on there 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. The Driver and Passenger sun visor, illuminated vanity mirror lids are almost impossible to get open. Dodge has made them so 'flush' that you can't even get your finger tips under the lids edge to open the mirror. The design on this is flawed. It needs some sort of protruding tab or flap or checkering on the edge to be able to lift the lid. I spent many frustrating minutes trying to get the damn thing open. So much for convienence! I feel this should be a recall! Anyone else found this to be the case on there vehicle?

There are laws of merchantibility - which require a thing to work as intended.

It's a legitimate gripe, and a recall might just be in order. You are supposed to get what you paid for........

Cut a small strip of leather, or fabric and simply super glue it to the top of the mirror. Then just pull on the tab. Much better than stressing....But agreed it should work. Just one more thing to distract the driver. No mirror on my drivers side visor though. Don't need it anyway. I don't let my wife drive my truck...

my only complaint with the visor is the way it's shaped, leaves about a 4"x1" gap at the top left of the windshield, really annoying at night with streetlights shining in your eyes. my '07 dodge's visors went all the way to the corner with perfect coverage. anyone else have an issue with this? how would you go about fixing it?
