Question Bed Liner... Spray On -Or- Plastic?

What is the better choice in getting the bed lined on your Dodge Ram, spray-on or plastic?

Spray on with out a doubt. I have a plastic one right now and I hate it. Go find a truck either on a used lot or just a random one running around town and lift up that plastic liner and look at the metal underneath it. Mine it covered in dirt and dust and I haven't hauled a thing in my truck since I got it. Tonneau cover or not, spray in is the way to go.

mine came with the plastic so i've left it on... I would like to get mine sprayed but the cost is ridiculous. The price hasnt budged since it first came out and i think its because the lack of suppliers. Plus i surf alot and once the wax gets in the liner....i wouldnt know how to get it out

I found the drop in plastic liners to be very slippery, especially in the winter. The spray in liner has a nicer appearance to me.
The plastic one might be better suited to those who load Ski-Doos in the box, as the runners would tend to cut the spray in material.

Spray on without a doubt for my uses. I don't know about the, "new" plastic covers but, many moons ago they would actually rub the paint off in certain places and leave bare metal for rust to form. Try standing on a plastic cover when it's wet and pulling at the same time !!

Get one can of do it your self roll on liner then drop a plastic liner in. That should be all the protection you need. No spray liner in the world is more durable then a drop in liner. I have a line-x it's not bad but not made for heavy use. The bed gets dents. If you plan on light use get spray liner. For heavy use drop in liner IMO.

If you put a plastic gas can on a plastic bed liner it can generate static electricity. If you fill the can while it's in the truck it can spark and blow up.
Always take the can out of the truck to fill it.
I want a spray in liner, maybe a DIY job.

I have the plastic liner (Pendaliner), used it in every single truck I owned since '94, with a pad underneath the liner and have never had an issue, I do however have always had a soft tonneau cover. I haul heavy items all the time in the back, so I'm more comfortable with a larger ribbed cushion between the liner and the actual box.
