Default Side Window Vents

I'm wanting to pick up some side window vents and looking for some advice. I've used the stick ons before and had pretty good success with them. They lasted about 10 harsh winters and numerous truck washes without ever budging, but I'm hesitant to stick them onto my brand new 2011 Ram 1500 Sport QC. I just dont like the idea of sticking anything on the paint.. lol.

So, what do you prefer? In-channel or stick ons?

And which brand? AVS or Weathertech?

I prefer stickons. I've seen those channel vents that you're talking about and it never fails that I see one that is broken some how... As for the adhesive, it wont hurt your vehicle's paint. Should you want to take them off at a later date, the adhesive will just peel right off.

In Channel all the way!! The stick ons will fail over time. The adhesive will break down, from the cold and heat. Plus the in channel looks cleaner on the truck. I have a set of the AVS and have never had any problems.

I bought the in channels for my '07 Ram and never had a problem, IMO they look more classy than the cheesy stick-ons. I put stick-ons on my TJ before I knew about the Weathertech's, and (like on both of my Tacoma's) the leading edge invariably starts to come loose. I had a hell of a time cleaning off the adhesive to put a set of Weathertech's on, but they've been in place (on the Jeep) almost 4 years now with not a problem!

I have had very good luck with the AVS in channels in the past but I went with the putco chrome ones this time to see how they hold up, they are in channel too.
