2010 2500 two tie rod ends have fractured
Just last week I had the right tie rod snap on my 2500 (2006) doing about 60 on a state highway in Texas. My truck has not been used in off roading or anything to like that. Had it in for service less than 2K miles ago and nothing was noted. Had not had any indications ie: wobbling, shaking etc. My Dealer said it was very unusual that it would just snap under no load no pot holes no nothing. The truck actually veered left into oncoming traffic and when the brakes were applied it pulled back to the right. It is a concern for sure now that I have read about it.

Dodge solid axle front ends, oh how I love to rant on this topic, as per the issues I have had on my 06 2500 and how little has changed on the design on the New HD trucks!
My advice to any one owning a ram 2500 is first and formost, replace all stock dodge u joints and upper and lower ball joints with servicable units, do it at your expense!!
Upgrade the stock stearing stabilzer to a dual unit, Im verry happy with the rough country kit i have on my 06 Ram 2500, My suspension is stock.
DO not put lift kits on thease trucks, stock dodge stearing componabts and u joints can't handel the power of my hemi, nor handel my stock 265 70 17 tires ...
AS for the drag link, the right ball socket needs grease on the older style ( my 2006) and dodge has a recall out for the newer T syle drag link, but with dodge, recalls are vin specfic...not evant specfic...
It pains me to say this, But I advise against buying a new HD dodge...
The best course of action is to research aftermarket parts, even if your still playing the warenty game, the same crap that failed, is going back on your ride, and when the warenty is up, your only going to be reinvesting in parts all over again...
Im quite P off that new owners who buy the dodge name plate still have the verry issues I went threw with my 06 Ram 2500 ..

Dodge drive angels on the u joints + drive shaft don't allow for much up and down movement (don't self lubercate as well ) Ford and GM have more flex and self lubercate better.
Its sad that dodge is no better than ford, or Gm, if all are = bad than who sets the standard???
I quote from Sam Shepard .. Guts Glory Ram, Aparently thiers truth in advertising ...
