I plan on getting a tool box. I saw a picture of one on a Ram that was only 1" above the bed, but I can't find it for sale anywhere. Anyone know of one?

Take a look at BakFlip. You can kill two birds with one stone with their BakFlip cover and the new BakBox folding tool box.

Thanks for the responses! The more I think of it the more I realize that getting into a tool box would be really tough considering the height of the bed. I would either need a step or would have to continuously climb in and out of the bed. Seems like a hassle. Whatever I give up in security and waterproofness of the tool box I will probably gain in spades in convenience with the tonneau.

Cheap enough that if it ever gets ripped or cut you just by the cover part again

Ramulak, the guy at the store showed me some Access brand tonneaus. He showed me a literider and a vanish. I liked them. How's the quality of the brand?

Hammer, what is the bar attached to the hitch called?

JRI, that whole thing looks smooth. How much does something like that cost though?

with a mounted tool box on the crew cab , thats when you have a TOY box . As far as sq.ft. the ram box has more than a crew with a mounted tool box ... Plus its a lot easier to work out of .... If you just drive to work and park it , then I can see what you need. For people that actually use the truck for work , its works great .... I have polaris 4 wheelers and they fit in the bed .

It is (or at least was) called a Louisiana Guard Dog. At the time I bought it (2006) I got it direct from the company who made them and had it shipped. I think I paid $89.99 plus about $20 shipping for it. The guy since sold out to a major ATV accessory company I wanna say it's Kolpin. They jumped the price on them to around $139 and everybody is now carrying it. I've seen Bass Pro throw it on sale for $119 and I believe Cabelas has it for about that quite often.

Very well worth the investment! No straps and it holds it dead firm in place. It also locks to both the ATV and truck hitch. Also allows you to lock the ramps to it so they don't disappear on you.

The BakFlip F-1 cost me $849 back in May. It sits flush with the side rails and does not cover the stake pockets. I am really happy with it. No external lock to get screwed up by the environment but very secure with the internal latches although you do need a locking tailgate.

I can't live without my tool box in mine. But my truck helps pay the bills.

What JRI said is Dead On.

BakFlip has a thing called a bakbox, VERY cool technology.

So you could have a toolbox, that can be folded, and secured through your tailgate lock and your Bakflip to secure the entire top.
