So, is it the MDS light coming on? If so, they're suppose to do that when they kick in and out of MDS mode. That light lets you know the engine has killed 2 of the cylinders.

There is no "MDS" light... the ECO fuel economy light has nothing to do with MDS (you can disable MDS with a tuner, which I've done, and the ECO light still comes on every time you take your foot off the accelerator). MDS also kills 4 cylinders, not 2...

not correct, same goes for my 2009 - Dec 2008 build date. The stupid light, called 'fuel saver' instead of 'eco' still comes on even with MDS disabled through the flashpaq tuner. When I re-enable MDS, the light still comes on and off regardless of dropping into 4 cylinder mode.

From my observations, the ECO indicator comes on when the actual fuel consumption goes below the indicated average. That is to say the bar goes to the right of the triangle when displaying miles per gallon.

Bingo! Just because the light is on does not mean that you are in 4 cyl mode.

We over this a while back and one of the Dodge techs on the forum set us straight re: the '09 models.

But have it your way re: your truck.

I know for a fact my light comes on ONLY when MDS is active. Build date Mar 2009
