Default what do i need to know when getting/oem nav unit?

hey guys, i came across a nav unit at a good price.

what do i need to do to install this? anyone got dash rip apart pics?

i remember something about someone getting screwed up nav units because of wrong removal?

thanks for any help.. oh, my truck is currently equipped with satellite radio, manual controls, no touch screen.

Well first thing is to make sure it will work in your truck and that means that it has to be the high speed canbus system so double check that. Then check out this site for a download that will walk you through removing the old radio and installing the new one

3/4 of the way down on the left side of that page will be a link that says "Chrysler Mygig new installation guide" and thats what you want. it is what I used to do mine but it did take a few minutes to load when I clicked since it is for nearly all the dodge/chrysler vehicles. Hope this helps and just to let you know that the worst part for me was having to pop the chrome trim off around the shifter bezel on the center console but once that was off it was cake. Also be sure to disconnect your battery and pull the radio fuse before you start the install.
