Default Air Lift 1000 or Firestone air bags?

I see most people are happy with either. Haven't decided which one I'm getting. Is there any pros or cons to either? Looks like the Firestone bags can be installed without removing the springs while you have to remove the springs with the Air Lift kit. That's not a big deal to me though. Also, is anyone using an on board compressor with these? Which one? I know it's not necessary, but it would be convenient so the bags could easily be aired up once loaded.

The Air Lift installation instructions do say the springs should be removed to install the air bags...but their demo video of the installation clearly shows they do not remove the coils to install... take a look

i have the airlift bags and have no issues. my cousin got the firestone bags and already had issues with them. firestone is going to fix the problem under warranty. not sure about install difference since mine were on truck when i bought it.

i have the firestone bags and have had no issues. they squeezed into the side of the springs with the axle drooping down and it took no time at all to install. mounting the air valves in the upper license plate screws was easy and makes for a very slick installation.

The airlift bags have a lifetime warranty, but require spring removal for installation. The video above is not the airlift installation for our application. Firestone does not have the lifetime warranty but can be installed with the spring in place. FYI airlift has a 25 dollar rebate for bags bought in January.

I have an issue with one of my Firestone Coil-Rites that will not hold air. Been trying to get Firestone tech to respond for a month with NO LUCK.

I don't know if they are the same or not, but about five years ago Firestone had a severe problem with their bags dry rotting and losing air. I went to order a set as they were the only ones I ever heard of, but a buddy of mine who owns a small chain of tire/repair shops talked me into the Air Lift bags. They are in the middle of farm country where they have installed a bunch and had issues with the Firestones.

I've not heard of it since then though, and these are of course a different type of bag system than a 4th Gen would use. But I thought I'd throw it out there...
