Honestly for the money, I found some seat heaters that sit over the seat for $19.99ea at a local autoparts store.
I've had a couple of those. The first one died after a few weeks when the inline switch melted. The second one died after two months, and no matter how hard I tried I could never get it to stay in place as I got in and out of the truck.
I ended up going with aftermarket heated seats, and they are awesome. They warm up faster and get hotter than the factory heated seats in a friends Dodge.
I put in the Mopar heated seat kit last friday. Just in time too, the temp today is 32. Anyway, it was actually really easy, only took 3 hours start to finish.
Could you post the photos again? It's saying the image has been deleted. I'd really like to see how you did it.
Sorry to bring up an old thread guys, but I also can't see the pictures. Is it possible for you to preposterous them, along with how the switch looks mounted. This is something I'd like to do for next winter.
Well done. Good job. If you don't have a console, where do the buttons/switch locate. Dash? Thanks zip
There is plenty of wire in the harness so the mounting location is more of a personal choice. I had the same switches as 10RAMSPORT when I installed this kit in my Civic but with the Ram I used the other switch style they offer. It's a round rocker switch with an LED that lights different colors for the three different heat settings. The flat membrane switch that 10RAMSPORT used can be mounted to any flat surface and requires just a very thin slot to pass the wire, so they could be mounted pretty much anywhere on the dash. I was limited to a spot where there was room below the surface for the switch, and that was quite a limiting factor in the Ram. Despite all that flat real estate on the dash, the underside is very complex and cluttered. I installed the right hand switch just a little low so the bezel at the top doesn't quite hide the hole. I was in a hurry and should have taken my time.
Just curious, do the switches light up for different levels of heat?? And by the way nice location for the switches and a beautiful truck

How do you know he was addressing the question to you and your beautiful red 2010 Ram Sport Truck? Maybe he was asking about my vinyl seat crank window plain jane grey work truck with rubber floors... lol
okay, seriously, for those that want to know. The membrane switches 10RAMSPORT used light up red, with either 2, 4, or 6 LED's to differentiate between low, medium and high. The rocker style switches I used light up red for high, red and orange for medium, and orange for low. Both switches change from one setting to the next setting by pressing once. In other words the rocker switch is a momentary press switch like the membranes are, not a mechanical 4 position switch.
