Default Foglight Replacement Bulb?

Hi guys,

I'm sorry, because I am betting this has been discussed before, but I did a bunch of research and couldn't find a definite answer. Maybe I just suck at using the search function.

Would someone mind answering this question real quick? Thanks a lot.

What is the REAL replacement model number for the foglights on a dual-headlamp '09 Ram? My manual says 9145, but the Sylvania webpage says they are 9145 for trucks with quad headlights, and 9006 for trucks with dual headlights. And the crappy little computer-search thing in front of the lightbulbs at Wal-Mart says the same thing as the Sylvania page.

I have known all of these sources to be wrong before, and my particular foglights don't have a number printed on them (at least, I couldn't find one).

Please help!

Fog/Driving light
9145
9145ST SilverStar: The brighter and whiter light. Up to 35% brighter, up to 30% more downroad visibility and up to 35% more sideroad visibility.

the foglights should be the same regardless of your headlights

Thanks a lot, whiteboy.

So, basically, that Sylvania page, concerning the 2-H/L Ram, is wrong. Doesn't do much good to have a reference page available if your info is wrong...

you can always pull one of your foglights out and bring into the store with you to be 100% sure

I saw that too. 9145 fogs and 9006 fogs....WTF?

Foglights should not change because of the headlights!

Yeah, didn't make sense to me either. I did some more looking around, and I'm pretty sure that 3rd gens use 9006's in the fogs, so I'm thinking that the Sylvania website updated the quad-light-subsection, but not the dual-light one. Maybe. I don't know. But I'm pretty sure that white boy is right - all 4th gens are 9145.
