Default Progress....

I called my stealership to make a change in the gear ratio on the truck I ordered late Monday. The manager called me back and said he couldn't change it, that the factory accpted the order and put it in "C" status. Said I can't modify it once it changes status.

Does anyone know what the status codes actually mean???

Call them back and tell them you won't take the truck without the gear you requested.

I had a similar thing happen with my truck while on order. About two weeks after placing the order, the factory website started offering the spray-in bedliner as an option. Even though this doesn't seem like it would otherwise affect the trucks configuration, the change was a no-go. The dealership did the job after delivery and I was very pleased with the quality of the work.

Gears are a bigger deal though. You would have TWO sets of them to change.

The sad thing is all they have to do is grab a different axle. They are not putting the gears in the housings at assembly time....

You want the 3.92s huh?

It's not that big of a deal. I don't plan on going over a 34" tire, and it will be a while before I do that.
