Default Nav System

Does anyone know of a way to update our nav system at a better price than Chrysler.

I just got a letter from Chrysler stating that they sent a update disk, however I have to pay $200.00 to get activation code to use it.

Its not like I don't mind paying for the service, but for the price I would like more than 1 update a year for that price.

Meh. I'm sure there is someone out there that boot legged the software already, but I don't condone this type of conduct so I wont be sharing how to do it with you.

If you are that concerned about it, I would buy a different (and better) navigation system either in dash, or window mount and use that. The updates still wont be cheap, but between the 09's navigation and my four year old Garmin, the Garmin was a hell of a lot more accurate than the 09's nav system. Sadly, I think that nav also uses Garmin database, but I'm probably wrong on that aspect.

Default Save your money

Unless you are in an area of new construction what has really changed in a year? Yearly updates are a waste of money unless you have a specific need that is addressed by the update.
