Just a couple suggestions - IIRC the RER can't read from a USB drive formatted (disc format, not music format) to NTFS or any of the Linux or Mac formats. Wouldn't hurt to check your drive (Windows explorer should tell you) that your USB drive is formatted FAT or FAT32, which is what our radios can read. Also, your RER hard drive isn't full is it? I've heard of guys that filled the hard drive and didn't know it, then got a cryptic error message like you got.

Well boy I feel stupid now. lol. Each of my usb drives I had formatted to NTFS some time ago (since FAT32 limit's file sizes and NTFS does not). I formatted back to FAT32 and what do ya know...she works! I'm glad I checked tonight as I had an appointment tomorrow to get a new radio installed. Thanks for the response!

I am surprised though that the dealership just ordered a new radio without using one of their USB drives [the USB drive I brought to the dealership was the NTFS formatted one]
