Newbie with 2010 Rambox cover question
Well, after months of debating I finally re-entered the world of truck owning. Took months debating between F150 and Laramie. The deal was so good I just couldn't pass up the 2010 Laramie with Rambox.
I am looking at puting on a tonneau cover. I have read old posts but haven't heard anything new. I like the Idea of the Bakflip, but don't want to open up the cover to access the rambox. I think a retractable one is the way to go. Unfortunately, I keep reading conflicting posts about each cover .. ... to be expected, everyone thinks theirs is the best. Anyone out there with the retrax vs rock-n-lock vs pace edwards comparison?
It looks like rock-n-lock has the smallest housing. Other than that, they all look the same.

I think I went with the G2 (cheaper one)? Only difference is its a little bit thicker panels on the F1. So if you were like 300+ pounds and you wanted to stand on it at a tailgate party or something then yeah, I'd do the F1.

Do you live in an area that gets cold enough to freeze? Something to think about, freezing concerns with the retractable covers. I wanted the bakflip for mine but decided on the truxedo lo pro qt. There when you want it, gone when you dont. The hard top's are only going to keep the honest people out, if they want in they will get in. I wanted the option to still keep the truck bed space available, limited amount on the rambox the way it is. With the lopro qt i can take it off in seconds, install the same and I dont have to worry about losing space. Those were my thoughts when I made the decision. Hope it helps.

BAKFLIPs do not Freeze.
That’s why Ford of Canada endorses them as their official tonneau cover and sells more BakFlips in Canada than any other type of cover.
Glad to hear from the guys on this thread that are happy with their Bakflips.
Please join us on facebook http://www.facebook.com/Bakflip where we have a community of Bakflip owners talking about all things cover and pickup truck.
And we are giving away Bakboxes and $1000 on the facebook page. Details on the contest tab.
