I've been looking at purchasing these lights that you have on display for the 09-11 Dodge Ram trucks. Do you have any customer feedback? Any issues? I am familiar with Gorecon, but not Spyder. I've read reviews from customers that have installed Gorecon, but no reviews with regards to Spyder.

What about supplying gorecon? I can't find anything about Spyder being a supplier for Gorecon.

Anyway...I'm not looking to pick a fight, but there seem to be some discrepancies with what you are saying, and what is fact (so far as I can see). Maybe you can clear up some of the concerns that I and others might have. /COLOR]

I'll give you the 411,

Our lights are made by Sonar (in Taiwan) and we are the Main US Distributors for these lights. Our company is called Spyder. We actually do the RnD for SONAR by testing their products and giving them feedback on how to change the lights or make them fit better.

Recon also sells SONAR lights, they are just a smaller distributor that focuses on trucks whereas SPYDER focuses on all vehicles. Both companies are selling SONAR products which SPYDER helps create. So yes and no, we supply them indirectly.

Hope that's clear enough.

Fitment of light is right on. I am not bashing your light just telling it like it is. If you want to put LED s in your truck read the post about LED issues before you spend you money so you know what you are getting into. I bought mine from http://www.protuninglab.com/09doramduhal5.html WITH the HID s for 329.00
These people (protuninglab) do not return calls or answer E-mail. I paid with paypal and filed a claim.

We, unlike protuninglab will stand by our products and warranty against any defects. I'm sorry you had trouble running your HIDs, but these were not designed to be used with HIDs in the first place. However, many people have installed them and have ZERO problems. It may be the HID kit you have.

In terms of the HALOs, they are dim because you most likely have the LED versions. If you look at the main GB thread, you will see that we also have the CCFL HALO version with MUCH BRIGHTER Halos.

Try checking the 3rd gen Ram forum. Your in the wrong place to be asking 3rd gen questions. But, also I do know there are several companies that provide projectors lights for the third gen Ram on Ebay and Recon has them on their site.

That has nothing to do with the projector light assembly. That is the HID kit you purchased. Do some resaerch buddy. You need to purchase an additional kit to solve the power issue because the HID kit you are using maybe 35w, the truck computer sees it as a problem, that is why they are working until you start the truck.

What you are doing is like buying a TV and dvd player from target, but when your dvd player doesn't work the way you thought it should, you complain to wallmart because they happen to sell the same tv.

Again Do some research, there are several threads that cover the issue you are having with you HIDS. It doesn't sound like you have a problem with your hids at all. Philipps sells an add on kit that will solve your HID problem. I beleive it is some kind of capacitor that goes between the balasts and the light. Check out the other threads about this issue and you will see others that have had the same problem. Is it really fair to bash a company you did not even purchase from just becasue you don't know what the heck you are doing with your installation? Do your research.

Well said. I'd swear this forum is overrun by a bunch of raging hormonally imbalanced teenagers at times . . . . .

Spyder, thanks for your work in offering the GB for us. I'm sure it's been a process.
Even though installing aftermarket headlights is not my thing, the stock headlights are so apalling I'm contemplating it.

@ roberttheall and eclipsems

Finally some people who understand. Thanks for your input guys.

I didn't understand all the hostility toward a new sponsor on these forums at first but it's glad to see some knowledgeable and reasonable members on these boards.

I appreciate that you are offering the product and an offordable price. I plan to order, but my house is for sale and under contract, so to be on the safe side I need to wait until it is sold before making any purchases. Hopefully your deal is still available at that time.

Thanks.
